Colorado head coach Deion Sanders reflected on the team's disappointing 2026 season following a 20-10 loss to Arizona State on Saturday.
"The season don't look good," Sanders told reporters after the game. "It don't look good. I'm not crazy. I can see clearly. You think I'm happy? I'm not happy with the outcomes. I'm not a loser by any means, and I hate the fact that we're coming up on the short end of these games."
Sanders was also asked about his job status, but he seemed unconcerned.
"Man, I don't think about that, man," the coach told reporters . "I'm not here for my job, I'm here for these young men. I'm not built like that. I'm really not. I'm really, really, really not. I want these kids to graduate, to provoke change in their communities (and) in their lives and their families. I ain't worried about me. I'm good, brother. I'm not worried about me. I worry about others. That's who I'm called to be."
The Buffaloes fell to 3-6 with Saturday's defeat, as they've lost six of their past seven games since starting the season at 2-0.
Colorado recorded just 10 points against Arizona State after entering the matchup with the worst scoring offense in the Big 12, averaging a mere 21.0 points per game through eight contests.
The Buffaloes were also held scoreless in the first half on Saturday, as they weren't able to find the end zone until they trailed 20-3 with just over eight minutes remaining in the fourth quarter.
Colorado posted a 9-4 record during Sanders' second season with the school in 2024, but the Buffaloes have gone just 6-15 in two years since.
