The Women's National Team is set for a historic first in Rio Grande do Sul football. For the first time, the team will take the field at Beira-Rio Stadium in Porto Alegre, the setting for great moments in Brazilian and international football. The match also marks the first time Brazil's women play in the capital of Rio Grande do Sul.

Opened on April 6, 1969, Beira-Rio hosted its first match with Internacional's 2–1 victory over Portugal's Benfica. The following day, the stadium hosted its first Brazilian Men's National Team match: a 2–1 victory over Peru. Since then, the venue has become part of Brazilian football history, hosting memorable clashes and major competitions.

With a capacity of 50,842 spectators, the stadium is Internacional's home and has witnessed major triumphs for the Rio Grande do Sul club. It also hosted the Gre-Nal of the Century, played on February 12, 1989, one of the most iconic clashes in the rivalry between Internacional and Grêmio, which secured Internacional a place in the 1988 Brazilian Championship final.

Beira-Rio's history is also linked to major events in world football. Following modernization work, the stadium reopened on April 5, 2014, to host matches at that year's World Cup. The first took place on June 15, when France beat Honduras 3–0. In total, the stadium hosted five World Cup matches.

Women's football also has important chapters at the venue. In 2017, Internacional's women's team, known as the Gurias Coloradas, returned to Beira-Rio after the club reinstated its women's football department. More recently, in May 2026, the stadium hosted the first-ever Gre-Nal in the Women's Copa do Brasil.

Now, Beira-Rio opens its doors to a new chapter: the Women's National Team's first match at the stadium and in Porto Alegre. The team's presence adds to the legacy of one of the country's leading sporting venues and marks another important moment in the history of Brazil's women.
