Eagles vs. Cowboys Week 7 ‘Monday Night Football’ live chat
The Eagles will face the Cowboys in an NFC East matchup at home on Monday night.
The Philadelphia Eagles are back home in Week 7 for a Monday Night Football matchup against the Dallas Cowboys.
Things have not looked encouraging for the Eagles the past few weeks, but it's a new day, and it's always a good day to beat the Cowboys. So, hesitantly, Go Birds!
Just as the twam gets a few guys back from injury — Landon Dickerson, Eli Stowers, and Grant Calcaterra — they lose a few others, including DeVonta Smith, who is out again with a hamstring injury.
Stay on top of every Eagles update and debate every snap with other diehard Birds fans. Game-day discussion is smoother in the SB Nation app.
Hopefully the Eagles offense can do enough to give the defense a few breaks Monday night, because the number of snaps on defense in recent weeks is just not sustainable long term, especially with some of the depth already being tested due to injuries.

Week 7 is here… hopefully it's not as embarrassing as things have been lately.

Q2 [DAL 10 – PHI 14]: The Eagles were finally able to give their defense a break, with the offense going on a 13-play drive that lasted more than seven minutes and ended in a 5-yard TD run by Dameon Pierce.
Q1 [DAL 10 – PHI 7]: Dallas' offense capitalized on a big gain from a Riq Woolen missed tackle, and ended their drive with a CeeDee Lamb TD catch with Cooper DeJean in coverage.
Q1 [DAL 3 – PHI 7]: THE EAGLES SCORE!! Not only did they score, but it was their first offensive drive of the game and featured a lot of Saquon Barkley, who ran it in for the touchdown. The RB did seem to tweak his hamstring injury during his second carry of the drive, but he was able to return and finish it for points!
Q1 [DAL 3 – PHI 0] : The Eagles defense was able to hold the Cowboys to a 55-yard field goal on the opening drive. Thankfully it was a 4th-and-8 kick because the Eagles were flagged for illegal formation, but the Cowboys opted to keep their three points instead of going for it on 4th-and-3.
