WATCH: Dameon Pierce scores TD to reclaim lead for Eagles on MNF
Running back Dameon Pierce gives the lead back to the Eagles against the Cowboys on Monday Night Football with a five-yard touchdown run.
The Philadelphia Eagles and Dallas Cowboys are going back and forth on Monday Night Football. After the Cowboys scored their first touchdown of the night, the Eagles scored their second touchdown to give Philadelphia back the lead at 14-10 early in the second quarter.
Here is a look at Pierce's touchdown, courtesy of the NFL's official social media:
This was a touchdown drive fueled by Dallas' penalties. Early in the drive, the Eagles went for it on fourth and one. Quarterback Tanner McKee fumbled and it was going to be a turnover on downs. However, the Cowboys were offsides, extending the drive for Philadelphia. Later in the drive after the Eagles got into the red zone, Dallas was called for roughing the passer on third down. Pierce scored a touchdown on the next play.
Penalties have been a key part of this game, as the Eagles have yet to get called for a penalty while the Cowboys have six penalties, including a 91-yard kickoff returned for a touchdown that was called back due to a penalty.
