Vote for the SouthCoast Football Player of the Week for Week 4

There were some big offensive performances in Week 4 for high school football. Voting ends at 8 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 11.

The winner for the Week 3 SouthCoast Football Player of the Week poll was Bishop Stang's Nathan Zexter. Zexter received 60% of the vote to earn the honor.

In a loss to Bishop Fenwick, Zexter carried the ball 25 times for 268 yards and scored 3 touchdowns on runs of 56, 66 and 41 yards. He also connected on 4 PATs.

Previous winners were Appponequet's Beckett Canessa and Bishop Stang's Andrew Guenette.

The winner of the SouthCoast Preseason Offensive Player of the Year poll was Dartmouth's Chase Afonso with 39% of the vote. The winner of the SouthCoast Preseason Defensive Player of the Year poll was Old Rochester's Owen Pelland with 60% of the vote.

In a win over Dartmouth, Canessa threw his fifth touchdown pass of the season to keep the Lakers undefeated. He also had a 2-point conversion pass.

For the second straight week, Procaccini scored 5 touchdowns in a win over Dartmouth. They came on runs of 39, 43, 6 and 22 points in addition to catching a 53-yard scoring strike. He also had a 2-point conversion run.

Conceicao returned an interception 57 yards for a touchdown in Stang's win over Arlington Catholic.

Zexter carried the ball 18 times for 256 yards and scored 4 touchdowns on runs of 66, 58, 11 and 55 yards to power the Spartans to their first win of the season against Arlington Catholic. He also connected on 5 PATs.

In a loss to Apponequet, Afonso caught a 45-yard touchdown pass and ran for a 45-yard touchdown.

Gendron threw a 45-yard touchdown pass and connected on three 2-point conversion passes in a loss to undefeated Apponequet.

In addition to catching a 2-point conversion pass to put the Blue Devils ahead by 9 points late, he had an interception on defense to stop West Bridgewater's final scoring attempt.

Joseph carried the ball 18 times for 68 yards and scored a rushing touchdown against West Bridgewater.

Ponte connected on a 60-yard touchdown pass and a 2-point conversion to help the Blue Devils best West Bridgewater.

In a loss to Somerset Berkley, Figueroa threw a pair of touchdown passes and a 2-point conversion.

Libby returned a kickoff 75 yards for a touchdown in Voc-Tech's loss to Somerset Berkley.

In a loss to Quincy, Correia had a one-handed interception on defense.

Ramos scored New Bedford's lone touchdown and 2-point conversion in a loss to Quincy.

In the second half of a loss to Bristol-Plymouth, Foye was 4 of 7 passes for 82 yards and rushed for 40 yards.

Baptiste had an interception on the goal line to set up a 99-yard scoring drive for ORR in a loss to Foxboro.

In a loss to Foxboro, Hiles scored a pair of touchdowns on runs of 1 and 7 yards.

Pires scored 3 rushing touchdowns and a 2-point conversion as the Vikings beat Upper Cape to end their 2-game losing streak.
