Defender jokes about facing Messi in international farewell 🎥

Benin national team defender Mohamed Tijani joked about the opportunity to face Lionel Messi in his farewell match for Argentina.

Interviewed this Monday (5) while strolling through Buenos Aires, he admitted that he probably won't take the clash at the Monumental de Núñez too seriously.

"We don't have to mark him. We're going to enjoy the match. There's no special plan," he said.

During the conversation, the Benin player heaped praise on the Argentine star and said he is the best in the world.

Messi's farewell to the Argentine national team is scheduled for this Tuesday, in a friendly against the African side.

This final chapter will be written just over 21 years after the star made his debut for his country.

Messi's first match for Argentina took place in August 2005, against Hungary.

Since then, he has won two Copa América titles, as well as the World Cup.
