GametimeCT girls soccer rankings, week 2 (Sept. 22): St. Joseph moves to No. 1

Welcome to Week 2 of GametimeCT's girls soccer power rankings. There was a little bit of movement in our top 10 based off of last week's results.

St. Joseph, among several undefeated and unscored upon teams, moved into the top spot after Greenwich tied Ridgefield 3-3.The Cardinals are ranked No. 2 this week. Amity and Mercy, also both unbeaten and untied, remained third and fourth, respectively.

Simsbury defeated Farmington among its three victories last week and remained No. 5. Ridgefield moved up a spot to No. 6 after rallying to tie defending Class LL state champion Greenwich. Notre Dame Prep, the reigning SWC tournament champion , dropped one spot to seventh after tying Brookfield 1-1.

Glastonbury joined the top 10 at No. 8. The Guardians are off to an unbeaten start, including a 2-0 win versus Northwest Catholic, a Class M finalist a season ago . Trumbull is also ranked for the first time at No. 10, thanks to victories over Fairfield Ludlowe and Staples. North Haven remains ninth.
