Galo youngsters take on América in the state championship decagonal

Atlético 's U-20 team wrapped up its final training session in preparation for the derby against América, valid for the 8th round of the Campeonato Mineiro Decagonal. The match will take place this Sunday (13) at 10 a.m. at CT Lanna Drumond, with live coverage on the Bola e Batom Channel on YouTube. Click here to watch.

The team coached by Henrique Teixeira leads the Decagonal with 13 points. Despite being tied on points with the runner-up and third-place team, Atlético remains on top thanks to its number of wins (4) and goals scored (15).

In the last round, the Crias beat Betim 4-0 and took over first place. The goals were scored by forwards Murillo, Mosquito (2), and Riquelme.

The match against América will be Atlético's penultimate one in the Decagonal. Atlético will close out its campaign on September 19 against Nacional de Muriaé at 3 p.m. at Cidade do Galo.

In midweek, Galo made its debut in the U-20 Copa do Brasil with a 4-0 thrashing of Sobradinho, from the Federal District, at Arena MRV.
