Liverpool Are In Talks With The Agent Of This Ligue 1 Midfielder: What Will He Bring To Anfield?

In a recent interview with Football Insider , former Manchester United scout Mick Brown mentioned that Liverpool are in talks with the agent of Monaco midfielder Lamine Camara . Brown said

"Lamine Camara is a name that has been discussed behind the scenes.

"Liverpool will be keeping an eye on how he gets on for Monaco, but there is definitely a deal to be done as we saw when he nearly joined Chelsea .

"His agent has been very outspoken about trying to get him a move, so I expect Liverpool will have held talks with him about the possibility of signing him in January.

"They'll know his demands, they'll have done their homework about his attitude and how he might fit into the squad, because it's important they don't just rush into it.

"It's something Liverpool have been working on, they're doing their due dilligence, and there is a real possibility they could do a deal."

Camara's Impressive Rise In French Football

Camara enjoyed a good run of form at the French club after he put in a series of influential displays for them in the middle of the park. The French talent banged in three goals and earned four assists in 31 matches for Monaco last season across all fronts.

The 22-year-old is currently one of the best central midfielders in Ligue 1. Hence, it is no wonder that the Reds are hoping to land him in this transfer window.

Camara is a solid tackler of the ball and can read the danger well to earn possession back for his team inside his half. He usually puts his foot through the ball when needed and is a tidy passer as well from midfield.

The French sensation can even chip in by scoring and creating his fair share of goals from midfield. Camara is primarily a box-to-box midfielder but can also serve as a defensive midfielder if asked to do so. However, there are some concerns over whether he can cope with the physical side and high intensity of the Premier League if the Reds manage to bring him on board next year.

We can expect Camara to bring more quality and depth to Liverpool boss Andoni Iraola's midfield. He has what it takes to fight for a regular first-team spot at the Merseyside club in the coming years.

At 22, Camara has the potential to be a world-class player in English football someday. Thus, the Reds should focus on getting him on board this January or next summer.
