Clemson football vs Cal score, live updates, start time, TV channel for Friday game

BERKELEY, CA — Clemson football will play California in its first ACC West Coast game.

The Tigers (2-1, 1-0 ACC) play the Golden Bears (2-1, 1-0) on Sept. 25 (10:30 p.m. ET, ESPN). Freshman Tait Reynolds will make his second college start for the Tigers.

This will be the first time Clemson coach Dabo Swinney has played Cal and the second time the Tigers have in program history . The only other matchup came in the 1992 Citrus Bowl when the Golden Bears won 37-13. This will also be Clemson 's fourth West Coast game and its first since its 44-16 win over Alabama in the national championship game in January 2019 in Santa Clara, California.

Reynolds has thrown for 415 passing yards, one touchdown and one interception. Reynolds' first start against North Carolina ended in a 28-20 victory after Clemson rallied from 17-3 down.
