Borussia Dortmund draw with Union Berlin, leaving top spot at risk 🇩🇪

Borussia Dortmund drew 0-0 with Union Berlin—a good result... for Freiburg and Bayern Munich.

Dortmund still lead the Bundesliga, now with 14 points, but could be overtaken later in the matchday.

Freiburg (second with 13 points) visit Bayer Leverkusen at 10:30 a.m. on Sunday (18).

Bayern (third with 11 points), meanwhile, host RB Leipzig at 1:30 p.m. this Saturday (17).

Dortmund had plenty of the ball (64% possession), but played at a slow tempo and created little.

BVB managed six shots over the 90 minutes—just one of them on target.

Another of the Bundesliga's surprise packages, Elversberg raced into a 3-0 lead in the first half, endured a nervy finish and won 3-2.

Elversberg climbed to sixth, in the Conference League spot, with 10 points. Augsburg sit ninth with eight.

One of the Bundesliga's surprise packages, Mainz beat Schalke 1-0 away from home, with Phillip Tietz scoring in the first half.

The result moved Mainz into the Europa League places, in fifth with 10 points. Schalke, meanwhile, remain 14th with five.

Hamburg beat Stuttgart 1-0 thanks to a late goal from Miro Muheim.

Werder Bremen and Paderborn, meanwhile, drew 2-2 after the visitors had taken a 2-0 lead.
