Ryan Fitzpatrick did not hold back in his assessment of Denver Broncos quarterback Bo Nix on Thursday night despite them prevailing against the Seattle Seahawks.

As far as quarterback performances go, Thursday Night Football was not one viewers will want to remember in a hurry. Both Sam Darnold and Nix provided dreadful individual performances at Mile High as their defences battled it out.

Sean Payton's team managed to come out of the game with the victory to take their record to 4-2 on the season, but there is a lot that Nix needs to fix if the Broncos are going to compete down the stretch.

Amazon Prime covered the game and former quarterback Fitzpatrick let rip on Nix during the post-game show. Despite the Broncos securing a win with a depleted defence and against the reigning Super Bowl champions, Fitzpatrick was left furious with the QB performance on display.

Nix ended the game having failed to throw for a single touchdown and just 107 yards. The Broncos did not even score in the second half with their only points following the second quarter coming via the game-deciding field goal in overtime.

"It was really frustrating to watch," said Fitzpatrick on Amazon Prime.

"Bo Nix is not playing competitively, it's almost disrespectful to the quarterback position how he's playing football.

"First of all, the guy doesn't want to throw the ball. That's fine, he's throwing to the flats, he's throwing from behind but he has no trust from his head coach."

"Being a quarterback in the NFL is a very special thing, and right now he's taking it for granted. He is, and there are a lot of guys that have played this game, that watch that game, that think that right there is garbage. That effort is garbage, and that is not a quarterback in the NFL. We deserve better."

Both quarterbacks ended the game at Mile High having failed to throw for a touchdown. It really was a frustrating watch for both sets of supporters and the neutrals watching from home. Despite taking the lead in the first half, the Seahawks defence completely silenced Nix and the Broncos' offence in the second period.

The Broncos now have a mini-Bye Week following the game on Thursday before facing the struggling Arizona Cardinals next weekend. If Nix is still having issues against the worst of the NFC West teams then there will be something to be concerned about.
