Odell Beckham Jr. has signed with the Minnesota Vikings' practice squad, the team announced Wednesday .

The 33-year-old was released by the New York Giants on Sept. 29. He played in three games after returning to the team that drafted him in 2014 and didn't record a reception. In those three games, Beckham was on the field for a total of 20 offensive snaps, with just six of those coming in his final game with the team, a 12-7 win over the Tennessee Titans in Week 3.

Vikings head coach Kevin O'Connell was Beckham's offensive coordinator when the two were with the Los Angeles Rams in 2021 when the team won Super Bowl LVI.

In eight regular-season games with the Rams, Beckham had 27 receptions for 305 yards and five touchdowns. He added 21 catches for 288 yards and two touchdowns in the postseason before he tore his ACL in the Super Bowl against the Cincinnati Bengals.

The 4-0 Vikings take on the New Orleans Saints in Week 5 and there is still uncertainty about the status of Justin Jefferson. The All-Pro wide receiver missed Sunday's win over the Miami Dolphins with an ankle sprain . O'Connell said Tuesday that Jefferson was "doing great," but they are not sure yet how the wideout will feel on Sunday.
