While Travis Kelce is focusing on his career, one of his major investments has landed in major trouble, ahead of the new season.Travis Kelce invested in Six Flags just months before the company was suedAs per reports, one of Travis Kelce’s major investments, Six Flags, has landed itself in major legal trouble as a wrongful death lawsuit has been filed against the company.The trial is set to begin on Sept. 8 at the LA County Superior Court in Chatsworth while jury selection will begin on Sept. 14.In 2022, a 22 year old Christopher had gone on the infamous rollercoaster ride, X2, at Six Flags with his cousins. Hours after the ride, his eyes became red, his speech mumbled and he collapsed on the ground.Christopher was hospitalised by his family but he passed away just a few hours later marking a heavy loss for his parents.Back then the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner ruled his death an accident caused by blunt head trauma.A CT scan also showed he suffered a catastrophic right subdural hematoma as he was on the ride.Now, Christopher’s family has sued Six Flags and the case is set to go on trial in the next few days,Christopher’s mother Anne opened up about the situation as she said, “We want the rides shut down…In my mind, there should never be injuries on a roller coaster or an amusement park ride. That I will never understand.The grieving mother added, “It’s definitely about accountability and [bringing] awareness to what happened and somehow stopping it so that it never happens again…I know the trial will not achieve all of that, but for now, [we want] accountability. They’re not going to be allowed to hide and pretend that this did not happen because it did happen.”To make matters worse, just in July 2026, two other women suffered brain injuries as they went on the X2 rollercoaster.Both the women remain under treatment as the infamous X2 ride has been temporarily closed down.How much did Travis Kelce invest in Six Flags Entertainment?Travis Kelce joined Six Flags Entertainment last year as a brand ambassador and also an investor.But that’s not all; the Kansas City Chiefs’ star player also teamed up with activist hedge fund JANA Partners to acquire a 9% stake in Six Flags Entertainment.
