San Antonio Spurs forward Keldon Johnson is bringing his Thanksgiving tradition back to the Alamo City.
Johnson, the reigning NBA Sixth Man of the Year, will host a Thanksgiving drive in San Antonio on Nov. 21 through his KJ Kares foundation. The event continues his efforts to support local families during the holiday season.
"Giving back to the city that has given Keldon so much has always been close to his heart," KJ Kares said in an Instagram post announcing the event.
"We're so excited to come together this Thanksgiving season to support local families and our community."
The location, time and information for families interested in attending have not yet been announced.
KJ Kares is also seeking sponsors and community partners for the drive. The organization said it has heard from potential partners and plans to share more information about sponsorships and partnerships soon.
Those interested in becoming sponsors or community partners can contact KJ Kares through its social media account and include an email address or other contact information.
"More details coming soon," the organization said. "We can't wait to bring this one home."
Johnson is coming off a standout season. He was named the 2025-26 Kia NBA Sixth Man of the Year after averaging 13.2 points and 5.4 rebounds in all 82 regular-season games, all off the bench. He also set a Spurs single-season record with 1,081 points as a reserve.
Johnson is the second Spurs player to win the award, joining Manu Ginobili, who received it in 2007-08.
The Spurs selected Johnson with the 29th overall pick in the 2019 NBA Draft. He has spent his entire NBA career with San Antonio.
