Las Vegas Raiders running back Ashton Jeanty thinks his team will benefit in Week 8 by what he described as a lack of effort from the New York Jets run defense.
"I think we can definitely get the run game going, get back on track, just really get after this guys," Jeanty told reporters ahead of the Sunday matchup.
"Couple of guys out there that don't really want to tackle, but I'm not going to say names."

Jets defensive back Jarvis Brownlee clapped back at Jeanty on Thursday:
The Raiders are preparing to kick off the Week 8 matchup Sunday at 1 p.m. ET in New Jersey.
Jeanty has seen his production drop in his sophomore NFL season while serving as the lead rusher in one of the leagues' least effective rushing attacks.
He has recorded 328 rushing yards and a touchdown on 106 carries so far this season while seeing his yards per attempt (3.1) and yards per game (46.9) decline from his 2025 rookie campaign.
The former first-round pick was most recently held to a season-low eight carries and 15 yards in the Raiders' Week 7 loss to the visiting Los Angeles Rams.
With Mike Washington Jr. as the only other back seeing significant carries and quarterback Kirk Cousins focusing on the pass game, the Raiders have ranked 31st in the NFL in total yards on the ground during the team's 3-4 start to the season.
The Jets defense has allowed the ninth-most rushing yards against in the NFL during their own 2-5 run.
New York most recently allowed the Miami Dolphins to gain 156 yards on the ground in the team's first win of the season last weekend. The Dolphins' Ollie Gordon II forced a career-high 10 missed tackles (h/t NFL Next Gen Stats cited by FinsXtra ) in the win.
The Jets lost one of their top interior run defenders in that game when T'Vondre Sweat suffered a knee injury.
Sweat's potential absence could potentially create a larger role for rookie defensive tackle Darrell Jackson Jr., who boasts one of the highest run stop rates among NFL interior defensive linemen so far this season (h/t FanSided's Justin Fried ).
Another step forward from Jackson and more consistency from veterans like Demario Davis, who said after the loss to the Dolphins he felt the Jets had shown "character" and "resilience" this season, could help the Jets team bounce back from the loss to the Dolphins by shutting down Jeanty this weekend.
