Ja'Kobi Lane Placed on IR, Latest Injury Updates, Return Timeline, Fantasy Outlook for Ravens WR

Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Ja'Kobi Lane will miss at least four games after fracturing his wrist while making his NFL debut in Sunday's season-opening victory over the Indianapolis Colts.

Lane will be placed on injured reserve after undergoing successful surgery on Wednesday, coach Jesse Minter told reporters.

"Definitely have a really good chance of coming back here pretty quick, I would say," Minter said.

Minter also said Zay Flowers is "day to day" after suffering a hamstring injury Sunday.

Devontez Walker was inactive for Week 1, though he figures to get an extended look moving forward. The Ravens also have Rashod Bateman and LaJohntay Wester heading into a Week 2 matchup against the New Orleans Saints.

NFL Network's Mike Garafolo reported Wednesday Lane "should be back around the time he's eligible to return."

Lane is currently scheduled to sit out games against the Saints, Dallas Cowboys, Tennessee Titans and Atlanta Falcons over the next month. He will be eligible to return for the Ravens' Week 6 matchup Oct. 18 at the Cleveland Browns.

The Ravens selected Lane in the third round of the 2026 draft. He earned buzz as a potential WR3 candidate during a strong training camp.

In a recent locker room poll by BaltimoreRavens.com's Ryan Mink and Quentin Corpuel , seven players named Lane as the team's most likely breakout player this season.

Lane was targeted three times in his NFL debut, making one catch for 11 yards before he was ruled out for the rest of the game with a wrist injury.

The Athletic's Jeff Zrebiec previously reported the Ravens planned to activate Moore to the 53-man roster from the practice squad.

Bateman, who recorded no receptions after one was called back Sunday against the Colts, and tight end Mark Andrews, who tied for the team lead with six targets in Week 1, could see an uptick in targets should Flowers remained sidelined this weekend.

Moore and Wester could also receive more usage as the Ravens brace to spend at least the next month without Lane.

Whether Walker and Flowers ramp up to full participation in practice this week will provide a first indication as to what the Ravens' wide receiver depth chart will look like when Sunday's home opener kicks off at 1 p.m. ET.
