NFL power rankings: See where the Broncos land after Week 8

Coming off a 28-24 comeback win over the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday, the Denver Broncos are now third overall in Nate Davis' latest NFL power rankings for USA TODAY Sports . That's unchanged from their No. 3 ranking last week.

Here is Davis' commentary on the Broncos going into Week 9:

If they don't have your respect yet, then how about this nugget – they've won five consecutive home games against former league MVPs. This 6-2 squad has also survived the most brutal stretch of its schedule and is set up to coast to another AFC West crown if it can take care of business.

Elsewhere in the AFC West, the Chiefs are ranked No. 10, the Las Vegas Raiders are ranked No. 15 and the lowly Chargers are ranked No. 32.

The Carolina Panthers , who will host Denver on Sunday, are ranked No. 22.

Overall, the San Francisco 49ers are ranked No. 1 and the Chargers are ranked last in the league. To view the complete NFL power rankings following Week 8, visit USATODAY.com .
