Hollywood Brown's time in Philadelphia could be fairly short-lived.
Hollywood Brown's time in Philadelphia could be fairly short-lived.
According to NFL reporter Jordan Schultz, the Eagles could look to move the veteran wideout—who was inactive for the past four games—in a trade:
Report: Eagles Won't Be Punished for Hurts
Brown, 29, has not appeared in a game for the Eagles since Week 2, dealing with an ankle injury after that (though he was a healthy inactive on Sunday). While he was never expected to crack the top trio of DeVonta Smith, Dontayvion Wicks or rookie Makai Lemon, there was a thought that perhaps he could have a role in certain packages.
Instead, it was players like Darius Cooper trusted with a bigger role when Smith was hurt, while Elijah Moore appears to have secured the WR5 spot on the depth chart (and Britain Covey is also on the roster, albeit primarily as a special-teams player). Brown hasn't registered a reception and has two carries for 12 yards.
He appeared to be headed to stardom after registering 91 catches for 1,008 yards and six touchdowns with the Baltimore Ravens in 2021, his third NFL season. But Brown's breakout campaign was followed by a number of injuries and diminishing returns in stints with the Arizona Cardinals (2022-23) and Kansas City Chiefs (2024-25).
He did manage 49 catches for 587 yards and five scores in 2025.
Whether the Eagles are actively shopping him or his agent is simply trying to drum up interest is unclear. But there's likely a muted market for a player unable to crack Philadelphia's wideout rotation.
