New NFL Rumors on Bo Nix's Struggles, Changes to Broncos' Offense Under Sean Payton

Denver Broncos quarterback Bo Nix has reportedly been struggling to adjust to the team's constant changes on the offensive side of the ball.
During this week's episode of Fox NFL Sunday , Jay Glazer provided some insight into the situation Nix has been dealing with after head coach Sean Payton took over play-calling duties from offensive coordinator Davis Webb.
"You know, I asked a bunch of people about that, and I didn't know this until this past week, is that when Davis Webb took over, he completely changed the terminology, the offensive side of the ball, for Bo Nix. Now that Sean Payton's taking it back over, it's like going back to a whole different language that you used to know," Glazer explained. "So I think at this point, man, [Nix's] head is just spinning, and you guys know. An offensive terminology, it's like learning a whole different language out there."
Payton had announced before Week 5 that he was taking back play-calling duties from Webb. Despite earning back-to-back wins, including a 17-14 overtime victory over the defending champion Seattle Seahawks on Thursday Night Football , Nix has shown no signs of improvement.
Denver's defense played 82 snaps in Thursday's win over Seattle, as Nix led an offense that produced just 168 yards and didn't have a drive longer than five plays on its last nine possessions of regulation. The team's longest play of the game was 16 yards.
After the game, Nix admitted that the offense has been disjointed, largely due to its lack of explosive plays.
"We're definitely capable [of better]. I don't know where the disconnect is right now to be honest with you," Nix said. "I just think we're really struggling to find those explosive plays, and that's what makes an offensive spectacular is explosive plays and right now we don't have those."
Still, at 4-2, the Broncos remain one of the best teams in the AFC. They will try to get their offense back on track when they face the Arizona Cardinals next Sunday.
