A Tennessee Titans fan has agreed to walk from Nashville to New Jersey after watching their team concede a 23-10 season-opening loss to the New York Jets.

The fan posted Tuesday on social media indicating they are going to follow through on their promise to attempt the 900-mile feat.

According to A to Z Sports' Austin Stanley , "the walk is going to happen, under one condition: this is now a fundraiser for ALS research in honor of Titans legend Chris Johnson."

Johnson announced in June he had been diagnosed with ALS at age 39.

The user previously wrote they would "walk from MetLife Stadium all the way to Nissan Stadium non stop" if the Titans lost in Week 1.

That post was followed the next day by a promise to donate $100 for every Jets point scored to a local charity.

The Jets followed up their victory by encouraging the fan to follow through on their original promise.

According to the fan, there will be "more details coming soon" about the walk. The Titans will meanwhile prepare for a Week 2 matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles this Sunday at 1 p.m. ET in Nashville.
