Justin Herbert and Sam Darnold were on the wrong side of history on Sunday.
On the first play of Sunday's game between the Los Angeles Chargers and Seattle Seahawks, Herbert threw an interception to Seattle's Drake Thomas. On the very next play, Darnold threw an interception of his own.
It was the first time in NFL history that a game opened with consecutive interceptions.
Both defenses were likely thrilled with how they opened the game, but the picks from the quarterbacks was not the start they hoped to have.
