Romeo Doubs Reacts to Brutal Drop in Patriots' Loss vs. Seahawks, 'Video Speaks for Itself'

New England Patriots wide receiver Romeo Doubs discussed his costly drop in the fourth quarter of the team's 13-10 loss to the Seattle Seahawks on Wednesday night.

"I just wasn't locked in enough," Doubs said after the game, per Andrew Callahan of the Boston Herald . "That's all. Video speaks for itself. And like I said, I'll be better."

With the score tied 10-10 in the fourth quarter, Doubs dropped a pass from Drake Maye that would have given the Patriots a first down.

On New England's next play, Maye was picked off while attempting to move the chains.

Doubs was targeted three times against Seattle, but failed to record a catch.

His fourth-quarter drop as well as Maye's interception allowed the Seahawks to take a 13-10 lead.

The Patriots drove down to Seattle's 16-yard line on their final drive of the game, but Maye was picked off again with just over 20 seconds left in the fourth to seal the final result.

As for Doubs, his Patriots debut was underwhelming after signing a four-year contract worth $68 million with the team in free agency.

He wrapped up a productive 2025 campaign with the Green Bay Packers before joining New England, hauling in 55 receptions for a career-high 724 yards while scoring six touchdowns in 16 games.

Doubs also dropped just three passes on 85 targets last season (via Pro Football Reference ).

He continued to make plays throughout his first Patriots training camp as well.

New England will be hoping that he can bounce back quickly, especially after star wideout A.J. Brown exited Wednesday's contest in the third quarter after suffering an ankle injury .

If Brown misses time moving forward, Doubs should receive plenty of opportunities to make up for his season-opening performance.
