With the NFL's 2026 trade deadline a little more than two weeks away, NFL Network's Ian Rapoport and ESPN's Adam Schefter provided updates on notable veterans who could be on the move.

On Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Brian Thomas Jr., the two insiders reported the team "has shown no signs of engaging in trade talks." Interested suitors could press the issue, however, as the deadline gets closer.

It appears to be the same situation with the Cleveland Browns' Jerry Jeudy.

"The Browns aren't shopping Jeudy at all, and the price is high," per Rapoport and Schefter. "It would take a premium deal to get Cleveland to move on — even if general manager Andrew Berry is open to discussing any deal. But as of right now, a Jeudy deal seems unlikely."

Three teams on the outside of the playoff picture sound similarly resolute on some edge defenders who are garnering trade interest.

The 0-6 Los Angeles Chargers "have given no indication that they are willing to make any trades at this time," and that includes one involving impending free agent Khalil Mack, according to Rapoport and Schefter

The Miami Dolphins could probably net a nice asset or two for Chop Robinson, but the 2024 first-round pick is someone they can keep building around beyond this season.

The Arizona Cardinals, meanwhile, at least "could be willing to listen to meaningful offers" for Josh Sweat, per Sunday's report. Rapoport and Schefter cited the Dallas Cowboys as one potential landing spot for the 2021 Pro Bowler.

Midseason trades used to be rare in the NFL, but those days are long gone. Along the same lines, general managers aren't afraid to cut bait on younger players who aren't fulfilling their potential.

Two top-10 picks from the 2024 NFL draft are already on new teams: wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. and quarterback J.J. McCarthy.

Like his fellow draftee, Thomas is in the midst of a tough season. He has caught nine passes for 105 yards and a touchdown. The 2024 Pro Bowler has gone two straight games without a reception.

A 2027 second-round pick was the best asset the Cardinals got back for Harrison, and that may have helped to inform teams what it could take to get Thomas out of Jacksonville.

He'd seemingly benefit from a change of scenery with Parker Washington emerging as the No. 1 option in the passing game.

Mack's exit from Los Angeles might only be a matter of time because it's making increasingly less sense to hold onto him.

The Chargers are long shots for the playoffs, and the nine-time Pro Bowler is on an expiring contract. Even if the franchise doesn't want to blow it up and rebuild, Mack likely doesn't have much of a long-term future in Southern California.

Flipping him for any sort of draft compensation is a better value play than simply letting him walk as a free agent in the offseason.
