Tyreek Hill's wife detailed the verbal abuse and assaults she suffered throughout their relationship during testimony in the first day of a civil assault-and-battery trial in Florida on Tuesday.

The testimony came just one day after Hill's agent told ESPN that the former star wide receiver could sign with a team in the coming days, potentially even a reunion with the Kansas City Chiefs.

Lakeeta Vaccaro testified during the trial Tuesday, which is part of the couple's divorce proceedings, according to ESPN's Michael Rothstein . Vaccaro, who is the sister of former New Orleans Saints and Tennessee Titans safety Kenny Vaccaro, said that the alleged abuse started in January 2024 when the two were arguing over a post-nuptial agreement Hill was pressuring her to sign. She didn't sign, and said she disagreed with stipulations in the document. Hill then threatened divorce, tried to take her wedding ring off, grabbed a necklace off of her neck, put his hands around her neck, grabbed and twisted her breasts and wrestled her to the bed, she testified. The incident, she said, "terrified" her.

Several other instances of alleged abuse were brought up during the court proceedings on Tuesday. Once, in July 2024, Vaccaro said that Hill attacked her while she was pregnant and tried to punch her in the stomach, which she blocked. In January 2024, while they were on a trip to Orlando, she said that Hill told her that he was going to cheat on her and wanted a divorce. When he came back to their hotel room the next morning, she said he threw her clothes out of a suitcase, broke her computer, took her wedding ring off and twisted one of her breasts. Police were called, but charges were not filed.

Later that month, after an argument about the post-nuptial agreement, Vaccaro said that Hill threw her luggage out of the house, and then Hill physically threw her out. She said that he "ended up throwing or shoving" an unlit cigar butt in her mouth. Police were called then, too.

Vaccaro said that Hill kicked her out of their car while they were driving home from an event in May 2024, and that he threw her shoe out of the car. In November 2024, Vaccaro said that Hill yelled at her and spit in her face after she didn't have a pregame outfit ready for him. She went into labor the next day with their child.

In April 2025, Vaccaro said that Hill punched her computer, threw it to the ground and cursed at her. The argument ended up spilling over into their daughter's room while she was asleep.

"I've been in this cycle with him for so long, being pregnant and realizing, what am I going to do? How am I going to get myself out of this," Vaccaro testified Tuesday, via ESPN. "[The abuse] got worse and worse and worse. And it got to a point where, now I'm a new mom. I have to think of her. I have to think about what I'm putting myself through."

Hill, 31, is working his way back from a serious knee injury that he suffered last season with the Miami Dolphins. His leg was left pointing in the wrong direction, and he was diagnosed with a dislocated kneecap and multiple torn ligaments. The Dolphins released him in February, and he's been a free agent recovering ever since.

Hill previously played six seasons with the Chiefs, and helped them win Super Bowl LIV. The team lost Rashee Rice (hamstring injury) and Tyquan Thornton (dislocated ankle) in the team's win over the Raiders on Sunday .

It's unclear if Hill will face discipline for his alleged abuse from the league if he signs with the Chiefs or elsewhere. The allegations, NFL spokesperson Brian McCarthy told ESPN, remain "under review of the personal conduct policy."
