Watch Seahawks Raise Super Bowl 60 Banner in Trending Video Before Patriots Rematch

The Seattle Seahawks commemorated the team's Super Bowl LX victory by raising a banner at Lumen Field ahead of a season-opening rematch with the New England Patriots on Wednesday.

Former Seahawks star safety Kam Chancellor led a crowd chant as the banner was unveiled.

Seattle capped off its 2025 campaign with a 29-13 win over New England in the Super Bowl, capturing the franchise's second Lombardi Trophy.

The Seahawks were stellar throughout last year, compiling a 14-3 record in the regular season to win the NFC West while earning the No. 1 seed in the conference heading into the playoffs.

Quarterback Sam Darnold earned a Pro Bowl nod by completing 67.7 percent of his throws for 4,048 yards and 25 touchdowns, while star wide receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba took home Offensive Player of the Year honors after compiling a league-leading 1,793 receiving yards to go along with 10 scores.

Head coach Mike Macdonald's defense was also dominant, ranking No. 1 in the NFL by allowing a mere 17.2 points on a weekly basis. Seattle ranked No. 5 among all teams with 25 total takeaways as well.

The Seahawks continued to excel during their playoff run, outscoring their three opponents 101-46.

Seattle held New England scoreless through the first three quarters of their Super Bowl matchup, taking a 19-0 lead before the Patriots were able to get on the board in the fourth. The Seahawks then kept New England at bay for the remainder of the contest, clinching a championship.

Now, Seattle will look to remain a Super Bowl contender this year following the offseason departures of running back Kenneth Walker III and offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak.
