Joe Brady In Awe of 'Electric' Highmark Stadium Debut After Bills' Statement Win vs. Lions

Josh Allen wasn't the only star of the Buffalo Bills' 41-31 victory over the Detroit Lions on Thursday.

The atmosphere at the new Highmark Stadium stood out to a national audience as Bills legend Bruce Smith led the "Let's go, Buffalo" chant at the start before the fans brought the noise throughout the game.

"That place was electric," Bills head coach Joe Brady said after the game, per ESPN's Judy Battista .

There was plenty for Buffalo fans to cheer about, as Allen threw for three touchdowns and ran for two more in a dominant offensive performance. James Cook III added 135 yards and a touchdown on the ground as the Bills overwhelmed the Lions whenever they had the ball.

"To be the first quarterback to open this stadium, it's a special spot," Allen said.

If Thursday's game was a hint of what is to come this season, the fans who created such an "electric" atmosphere will have a first year to remember at Highmark Stadium.
