The Philadelphia Eagles dropped their sixth straight game of the season on Sunday night, falling 27-10 to Jayden Daniels and the Washington Commanders at Northwest Stadium.
The Commanders entered Sunday night's NFC East matchup as 5.5-point favorites over the injury-depleted Eagles, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.
The Eagles remained without starting quarterback Jalen Hurts, who was diagnosed with deep vein thrombosis and bilateral pulmonary emboli. The condition involved blood clots in his left calf that traveled to his lungs, according to a joint statement from Hurts' agent Nicole Lynn and the Eagles.
Tanner McKee, a sixth-round pick out of Stanford in 2023, stepped in for Hurts and made his third consecutive start in his absence. However, McKee struggled to get the Eagles' offense going, as he was held to just 177 yards through the air and the team committed two turnovers.
The Eagles fell to 2-6 on the season, while the Commanders earned their second win, improving to 2-4-1.
