Seahawks star JSN ranked high in ESPN’s fantasy football rankings

Seattle Seahawks star Jaxon Smith-Njigba is on track to top all wide receivers in the NFL in fantasy football this season.

ESPN's Eric Karabell ranked Smith-Njigba No. 1 overall among all wide receivers in the NFL and No. 2 overall among all players in his rest-of-season fantasy football rankings following the Seahawks superstar's explosive start to the year.

Detroit Lions running back Jahmyr Gibbs is the only player ranked ahead of Smith-Njigba in the overall player rankings.

Smith-Njigba has totaled 17 receptions for 277 receiving yards and four touchdowns through two games. He opened the season with eight catches for 122 yards and a touchdown against the New England Patriots , then produced nine receptions for 155 yards and three touchdowns in Seattle's 31-7 victory over the Arizona Cardinals . Smith-Njigba leads the league in receiving yards and touchdowns at the present.

Seattle's upcoming schedule will test Smith-Njigba against stronger competition, but his high target share, ability to create explosive gains and central role in the team's offense make him an elite WR1. His reception and yardage volume provide a stable foundation for continued success in fantasy football moving forward. Smith-Njigba has scored the most fantasy points among all wide receivers in ESPN points per reception leagues thus far with 68.7.
