Charlotte Hornets jersey history No. 1 Baron Davis 1999-2002

Charlotte Hornets guard Baron Davis was the second player in team history to wear No. 1 and was the fifth individual player to make an All-Star appearance for the franchise. Before a move to New Orleans , Davis spent three seasons in Charlotte after being selected with the No. 3 overall pick in the 1999 NBA Draft.

While he had a slow rookie campaign, Davis came alive in his third season, averaging 18.1 points, 8.5 assists, 4.3 rebounds, 2.1 steals and 0.6 blocks. During his three years with the franchise, the former UCLA guard averaged 12.6 points, 6.5 assists, 3.7 rebounds, 1.8 steals and 0.4 blocks. Following his time in Charlotte, Davis would perform exceptionally for both New Orleans and Golden State , earning MVP votes twice, once with each franchise. Throughout his 13-year career, Davis made two All-Star appearances, earned one All-NBA selection, and led the league in steals twice. In 835 games, Davis holds career averages of 16.1 points, 7.2 assists, 3.8 rebounds, 1.8 steals and 0.4 blocks.
