Titans' Cam Ward Responds to Controversy After Viral Video of Media Session After Ravens Loss

A video of Tennessee Titans quarterback Cam Ward following his team's 24-18 road loss to the Baltimore Ravens last Sunday went viral after media members hadn't arrived yet at his press conference from the team's open locker room session .

On Wednesday, Ward addressed the situation.

"I mean, they talking about that, that's something for them to talk about," Ward said. "If they need something to talk about, we'd rather them talk about that than our performance, so we're just trying to put a good product on the field."

It's been a difficult season for Ward and the Titans, who have lost their first four games. Tennessee has averaged just 13.75 points per game, which is the second-lowest mark in the league. Ward has thrown for just 181.5 passing yards per game and three touchdowns.

The good news is that the defense has fared well overall, as Tennessee has allowed the ninth-fewest PPG (20.8). In theory, an improved offense can go a long way toward the Titans salvaging this season.

Rookie wideout Carnell Tate, the No. 4 overall pick in April's draft, could help. Tate had a breakout Week 4, catching nine passes for 145 yards against the Ravens.

Still, the Titans need to figure things out and fast. Only one team (the 1992 Los Angeles Chargers) has ever made the playoffs after starting 0-4. So right now, one can understand frustrations emanating from Nashville in head coach Robert Saleh's first season.

The Titans will hope to get a win on the board Sunday when they host the winless Houston Texans.
