Heading into Sunday's NFL games, plenty of intrigue surrounds Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. and his imminent trade to a mystery team.

ESPN's Adam Schefter and NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reported Saturday the Cardinals are "finalizing a deal" involving the 2024 first-round pick. His next destination is a total unknown, however.

Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reported the Houston Texans "are involved in active trade discussions" with Arizona. The swap would see Harrison reunite with former Ohio State teammate C.J. Stroud.

According to Wilson, the Las Vegas Raiders are in the mix, too.

Beyond that, Harrison's market at least seems to be narrowing with various suitors getting ruled out.

Wilson eliminated the Kansas City Chiefs and Indianapolis Colts, the latter of which is where Harrison's father spent his entire NFL career.

PHNX Sports' Johnny Venerable reported the Philadelphia Eagles are out, and the same goes for the Cleveland Browns, per Cleveland.com's Mary Kay Cabot .

The Cardinals may have an offer in hand but are waiting until the last minute to see whether they can net a better return.

For now, there's little benefit to making the trade official. Arizona reportedly made Harrison inactive, so he'll miss Sunday's matchup with the Detroit Lions. And even if the transaction had been completed Saturday, there wasn't enough time for a different team to get him in the building and ready to suit up in Week 5.

As a result, the 24-year-old pass-catcher is stuck in limbo.

The fact the Cardinals are offloading him three years after selecting him fourth overall speaks for itself. Harrison hasn't lived up to his lofty evaluations coming out of college, and his performance to open 2026 is especially brutal. He has five receptions for 85 yards and one touchdown.

It's doubtful Arizona can recoup a first-rounder for Harrison given how much his value has dropped, but a separation is in the interest of both parties once it finally happens.
