NFL Fans Sound Off On Drake Maye, Romeo Doubs, Stevenson Fantasy Performances in Patriots-Seahawks

Fantasy football enthusiasts were not eating good during Wednesday's season-opening matchup between the New England Patriots and Seattle Seahawks.

Players like Drake Maye, A.J. Brown, Romeo Doubs, Rhamondre Stevenson and Jadarian Price had folks feeling disgruntled on social media given their limited touches or usage:

Maye: Three interceptions, 9.8 fantasy points.

Brown: Five catches for 20 yards, Seven fantasy points (left game in third quarter and didn't return with an ankle injury).

Doubs: Zero catches on three targets, zero fantasy points. Woof.

Stevenson: 18 rushes for 51 yards, five catches for 44 yards, 14.5 fantasy points. After a rough start he finished with a solid game.

Price: 10 rushes for 52 yards, two catches for six yards, 7.6 fantasy points. Showed flashes but his usage prevented a bigger game.

The first half was a dud in general, with the Patriots leading 7-0 after two quarters. That was partly down to Seattle starting quarterback Sam Darnold being ruled out for the remainder of the game with a hip injury after getting hurt on the first play of the game.

People weren't necessarily expecting a shootout given the quality of defenses in the game, but fantasy enthusiasts were left feeling like the " c'mon, do something " meme for most of the game.

And it got even worse when Brown left the game in the third quarter with an ankle injury and didn't return.

Anybody who has played fantasy football for long enough knows there are nights like these sometimes. At least it's only the first game.
