Nick Sirianni’s winning percentage places him among NFL legends

Nick Sirianni's success is becoming increasingly difficult to contextualize without mentioning some of the greatest coaches in NFL history.

Philadelphia's 2-0 start improved Sirianni's career record to 61-26, giving him a .701 winning percentage. According to Reuben Frank of NBC Sports Philadelphia , via Eagles Communications , he is one of five coaches in league history to coach at least 50 games and win 70% of them.

Guy Chamberlin finished with a .784 winning percentage, followed by John Madden at .759, Vince Lombardi at .738, and George Allen at .712. Sirianni is the only member of that group to coach a game since 1980. He is also approaching another significant place in Eagles history. Sirianni needs three victories to pass Greasy Neale's total of 63 and move into second place on the franchise's coaching wins list. Andy Reid holds the record with 130.

Sirianni added another distinction with Philadelphia's victory over Tennessee. He became the fourth coach to win each of his first six road openers. Allen won seven consecutive road openers from 1966 through 1972. Mike McCarthy won six from 2006 through 2011, while Sean McVay won seven from 2017 through 2023.

Sirianni's tenure has included criticism, coordinator changes, and disappointing postseason exits. It has also produced consistent winning, multiple division titles and two Super Bowl appearances. The Eagles have areas to correct after two uneven victories. Their head coach's record shows they have consistently found solutions during his tenure.
