49ers stars Christian McCaffrey, George Kittle and Nick Bosa all cleared to play vs. Rams in Australia

The San Francisco 49ers released their final injury report of the week before Thursday night's game against the Los Angeles Rams , and their biggest names are apparently good to go after all.

While running back Christian McCaffrey , edge rusher Nick Bosa and George Kittle were limited during the preseason, none of the three star players have an injury designation heading into Thursday's game against the Rams in Australia (8:35 p.m. ET, Netflix). McCaffrey wasn't listed on the 49ers' injury report, while both Bosa and Kittle had "limited participation" at practice this week. Neither of them had an injury designation for the game.

McCaffrey was limited during the preseason and was reportedly dealing with general tightness. This, of course, sparked fears in fans who remember the 2024 season, when he had been listed as questionable with a calf issue for Week 1, then ended up being a surprise inactive and then played in only four games that season.

Bosa and Kittle weren't recovering from preseason injuries, but rather from season-ending injuries from 2025. Bosa tore his right ACL in Week 3 against the Arizona Cardinals and has been dealing with tendinitis. Kittle being off the injury report is the most shocking. The tight end tore his right Achilles in last season's playoffs. Kittle suffered his injury Jan. 11, but appears to be ready to gear up against the Rams eight months later.

McCaffrey avoided the injury report the entire week. Both Kittle and Bosa were included but were listed as limited during Tuesday's and Wednesday's practices.

After playing in only four games in 2024, McCaffrey returned last season and was fully healthy. He played in all 17 games and ran for 1,202 yards with 10 touchdowns on the ground and added 924 yards and seven additional scores through the air. These stats helped him earn the 2025 NFL Comeback Player of the Year Award.

The 28-year-old Bosa is entering his eighth season with the 49ers. Before his injury last year, he had played in three games and had tallied 17 tackles, including two sacks.

The best season of his career came in 2022 when he earned the Defensive Player of the Year Award. Bosa played in 16 games and had a career-high 18.5 sacks.

Kittle is heading into his 10th NFL season, all with San Francisco. He played in 11 games last season and had 628 yards with seven touchdowns. Kittle, despite being 32 years old, remains one of the best tight ends in the league.

The only player ruled out for the 49ers is defensive lineman Alfred Collins , who was r uled out for the season earlier this week with a knee injury . Meanwhile, defensive tackle James Thompson is listed as questionable with a hamstring injury.

The Rams are all clear on their injury report. The only player listed as out was Aaron Donald , but he didn't make the trip to Australia. He is still ramping back up after he came out of retirement to rejoin the Rams late last month.
