Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver DeVonta Smith didn't mince words regarding his team's performance following their 27-7 road loss to the Chicago Bears on Monday night.

Speaking to reporters about the one-sided defeat, Smith said, "You turn the ball over, you're going to get your ass whooped."

The Eagles turned the ball over three times, as quarterbacks Jalen Hurts and Andy Dalton threw one interception apiece, and running back Tank Bigsby lost a fumble.

Two of those turnovers led directly to points for the Bears, as the Philly defense didn't hold up its end of the bargain either.

The Eagles failed to force a turnover or register a sack despite facing journeyman third-string quarterback Case Keenum, who started in place of the injured Caleb Williams and Tyson Bagent.

Per OptaStats, the Eagles reached a rare level of both offensive and defensive futility in Monday's game:

Philadelphia entered Monday night with a 2-0 record and the expectation that the team would move to 3-0 given Chicago's quarterback situation.

However, the Eagles made Keenum look like his younger self, and Philly's offense didn't do much to help the defense, as they were often put in difficult situations because of the turnovers and lack of points.

The Eagles avoided disaster the first two weeks of the season with two-point and four-point wins over the Washington Commanders and Tennessee Titans, respectively, but that wasn't the case Monday.

And now, the Eagles' road won't get much easier, as they face the Los Angeles Rams and Jacksonville Jaguars over the next two weeks.
