Broncos' Quinn Meinerz Selected for NFL Drug Test Amid Viral Video of Block on Rams' Aaron Donald

Denver Broncos guard Quinn Meinerz had a viral moment against Aaron Donald during Sunday's 30-26 win over the Los Angeles Rams, then was selected by the NFL for a random drug test the following day.

Meinerz posted the message he received from the NFL and Drug Free Sport requiring him to complete a test for performance-enhancing substances.

The request came a few hours after Meinerz was spotlighted for a rep against Donald when he wrestled the Rams star to the ground late in the second quarter.

One of the big difference-making parts of this game was Meinerz's success in general, but specifically against Donald.

Per Next Gen Stats (h/t Carter Dillon of The LTB Podcast ), Meinerz didn't allow any pressures on 35 pass-blocking snaps. Eleven of his reps came against Donald, with eight of them being one-on-one matchups.

This came after Donald recorded a 27.8 percent pass-rush win rate in Week 2 against the New York Giants, his first game back in the NFL following a two-year retirement.

Meinerz has been an All-Pro first team selection in each of the past two seasons. Through the first three games so far this year, he looks to be on track to make it a third straight season earning that honor.

The Broncos overcame a 16-0 deficit by outscoring the Rams 30-10 in the second half to come away with a victory that improved their record to 2-1.
