Fantasy Football 2026 Deep Sleepers Based on Latest Rankings

Barring injuries, most early picks in a fantasy football draft are going to be hits.

So, when you're looking to build an edge over your rival league mates, you need to find value later in the draft.

Luckily, it is readily available. Every NFL season spawns a new batch of surprisingly productive players.

You just have to know where to find them. And we're here to simplify that process by spotlighting a couple of deep sleepers who won't cost you a top 125 pick after laying out our latest PPR rankings.

Keaton Mitchell, RB, Los Angeles Chargers

Assuming Mitchell's latest injury issue is nothing major (and it sounds like that's the case ), he could be primed for his best NFL season to date—by a mile.

He can add explosion to this offense. With burst like this, he only needs a sliver of space to turn any touch into a big play. And with offensive coordinator Mike McDaniel at the controls, there could be actual hallways opening in front of Mitchell.

Even if he's only handling the lightning duty behind the thunder that is Omarion Hampton, Mitchell could strike often enough to serve as a legitimate flex option. And should Hampton happen to miss any time, Mitchell might immediately rocket into RB2 territory.

This past season, Mitchell's average touch spanned 5.9 yards. As a rookie in 2023, that number landed at a whopping 8.7. He might not be quite that efficient with a heavily increased role, but if he's consistently barreling long balls and legging out extra-base hits, he might do more in a supporting role than some do with a featured gig.

A third-round rookie out of USC, Lane ranked as one of the NFL's true head-turners during training camp and preseason. There is absolutely a chance those flashes were simply the appetizer to a true regular-season feast.

Baltimore needs more pass-catching playmakers than Zay Flowers, and Lane looks like the most electric option to fill that void. He can stretch the field as a long-striding deep-ball threat, and he might be even more effective in the red zone as a 6'4" mismatch with a massive catch radius and great hands.

Over three seasons with the Trojans, Lane's average reception covered 13.8 yards. In 2024, he tallied 12 touchdowns on only 43 catches.

There might be peaks and valleys with his production, but his good games could be matchup-deciders. His best-case scenarios look pretty special and just might include Offensive Rookie of the Year honors.
