The Eagles are further shaking up their offensive line by trading two-time Pro Bowl center Cam Jurgens to the Ravens.

Two aspiring NFL playoff contenders swung a trade on Wednesday, Oct. 7, to reshape their shaky offensive fronts.

The Philadelphia Eagles agreed to send two-time Pro Bowl center Cam Jurgens and a 2027 seventh-round draft pick to the Baltimore Ravens in exchange for a 2027 fifth-round pick and a 2028 second-round pick, the Ravens announced.

Jurgens helps fill a void on the interior for the Ravens, who lost three-time Pro Bowl center Tyler Linderbaum to the Las Vegas Raiders this offseason. With initial replacements Danny Pinter, Jovaughn Gwyn and Ethan Pocci sidelined with long-term injuries, the Ravens shifted first-round pick Vega Ioane, who was drafted as a guard, to center in a Week 4 win over the Tennessee Titans .

"We are excited to acquire a two-time Pro Bowl center, Cam Jurgens, from the Eagles in a trade," Ravens general manager Eric DeCosta said in a statement. "Cam is a player we have long admired going all the way back to the draft process. He's a young foundational piece along our offensive line – a great scheme and cultural fit who will contribute quickly in Baltimore. We are confident that Cam will significantly impact our team and community."

Jurgens succeeded Jason Kelce in Philadelphia but also shifted to guard this season in light of offensive guard Landon Dickerson landing on injured reserve after Week 1. The deal comes one day after linchpin right tackle Lane Johnson announced his retirement .

Jurgens landed in the NFL's concussion protocol after a 24-20 loss to the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday.

A second-round pick out of Nebraska in 2022, Jurgens, 27, is in the second year of a four-year, $68 million contract extension.
