Von Miller will wear the No. 40 jersey for the Dallas Cowboys during the 2026 season after reaching a deal with fullback Hunter Luepke, according to Patrik Walker of the team's official website.

Luepke, who previously wore No. 40 after joining the Cowboys as an undrafted free agent in 2023, will now switch to No. 30.

Per Walker , Luepke received an "undisclosed amount of equity" in Miller's chicken company, Greener Pastures Chicken, in exchange for the number.

While Miller wore No. 58 during his tenure with the Denver Broncos in which he earned eight Pro Bowl nods, he also wore No. 40 with the Los Angeles Rams and Buffalo Bills. The pass-rusher used No. 40 during his college days at Texas A&M as well.
