The Cleveland Browns don't have many positive takeaways from their Week 1 outing against the Jacksonville Jaguars , but rookie wide receiver Denzel Boston gave his team's fans — and fellow rookie wideout KC Concepcion — something to feel good about.

Boston, who was taken by the Browns in the second round as the 39th pick overall in the 2026 NFL Draft, scored Cleveland's only touchdown in what turned out to be a 34-10 loss to the Jaguars at EverBank Stadium in Jacksonville. It happened with just under two minutes left in the fourth quarter and with the game already out of Cleveland's reach. On a 2nd-and-5 at the Jags' 46, Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson loaded up for a long throw and found Boston right in the end zone for the score.

Browns Wide Receiver Concepcion Reacts to Fellow Rookie's TD in Week 1

"Man, I was so excited for my dog," Concepcion said about Boston's touchdown ( via Spencer German of 92.3 The Fan ).

"Y'all go back and watch the film. As soon as I saw him catch it, you know, I was the first guy down there, you know, cheering him off. You know, me and Denzel, you know, we came in together, you know, and that's my brother, you know. You know, I love to see him win and, you know, whenever we score, you know, I was very, very excited for him."

Concepcion, drafted in the first round (24th overall) of this year's draft, actually started the drive where Boston scored the touchdown. The former Texas A&M Aggies star rushed for 10 yards in the first play of the series.

Overall, Boston had 59 receiving yards and a touchdown on two catches and four targets.

Meanwhile, Concepcion recorded 43 receiving yards with zero touchdowns on four catches and a team-leading five targets, in addition to his 15 rushing yards on three carries.

Perhaps Concepcion will finally get his first touchdown in the NFL in Week 2, when the Browns visit the Tampa Bay Buccaneers .
