Former Indiana University and University of Cincinnati quarterback Brendan Sorsby posted a workout video Thursday in anticipation of the 2027 NFL draft.
In the video posted on X, Sorsby showed off his arm strength, accuracy and mobility, while also breaking down some X's and O's:
Sorsby, 22, transferred to Texas Tech in January and had been set to play for the Red Raiders this season, but he instead attempted to enter the NFL supplemental draft.
That came after Sorsby's eligibility came into question amid findings that he placed at least 40 bets on Indiana football while playing for the Hoosiers, and wagered $90,000 with sportsbooks over the course of four years.
Sorsby was denied entry into the NFL supplemental draft, forcing him to sit out the 2026 season and prepare for the 2027 NFL draft.
While it's unclear where Sorsby currently stands in the quarterback class for the 2027 draft, he could have potentially positioned himself to be one of the top signal-callers taken with a strong season at Texas Tech.
Sorsby enjoyed his best statistical season at Cincinnati last season, completing 61.6 percent of his passing attempts for 2,800 yards, 27 touchdowns and five interceptions, while also rushing for 580 yards and nine scores.
The 2027 NFL draft is shaping up to be a deep one at the quarterback position with Oklahoma State's Drew Mestemaker, Miami's Darian Mensah, Texas' Arch Manning, Oregon's Dante Moore, Ole Miss' Trinidad Chambliss and Notre Dame's CJ Carr all potentially being in the mix.
That said, there's plenty of uncertainty as a handful of those players experience up-and-down years in the collegiate ranks.
Sorsby has a chance to solidify his status by impressing during the pre-draft process as well, and it looks like he's already hard at work.
