After spending the past month on the Minnesota Vikings' practice squad, veteran wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. could finally get his chance to see some game action.

The Ringer's Tom Pelissero reported that the Vikings are signing Beckham to the 53-man roster ahead of their matchup against the Buffalo Bills on Monday Night Football .

The Vikings have an opening on offense after veteran wideout Jauan Jennings was ruled out for Monday night's game after suffering a strained calf in practice this week. His injury came after star quarterback Kyler Murray was sidelined with a hamstring injury, thrusting veteran backup Carson Wentz into the starting role against the Bills.

Beckham started the 2026 season with the New York Giants, but he didn't record a single catch in any of the three games he played before he was released in late September. He signed with Minnesota's practice squad a week after his departure from New York.

ESPN's Kevin Seifert reported on Saturday that Vikings head coach Kevin O'Connell said the team is "working through whether [Beckham] will be active Monday night." The Bills rank 24th in the NFL with 352.1 yards allowed per game, so Wentz would benefit from having an extra weapon against a subpar defense.

Minnesota is coming off its first loss of the season last week against the Detroit Lions, and Murray's absence will certainly make things more difficult against Buffalo. If Beckham gets his chance on the main roster, he will certainly be motivated to prove that he deserves to stay.
