3 WWE Hot Takes For Roman Reigns, Bron Breakker and Royce Keys' OTM Faction

The headliner in pro wrestling might be heading for what one could consider an "offseason" going into the winter before next year's burn to WrestleMania, sure.

But with major storylines developing around the likes of Roman Reigns, Bron Breakker and the Bloodline's sudden challenging by a new faction, there are some severe long-term implications up for grabs.

Slow part of the calendar? Not anymore. There are some bold directions WWE could go in these areas courtesy of some hot takes, too.

Bron Breakker went from an almost community project everyone was cheering on as his promo game developed on his way to top guy to, frankly, a rehab project.

WWE has smartly looped it into on-screen storylines, at least. Breakker was out hurt and watched as Oba Femi took his top spot in the company as the "next big thing." He's now effectively saying just that in his budding feud with Femi.

And Breakker should take down Femi, too.

Don't scoff too much. Breakker needs the help and Femi won't be hurt by one loss. We're talking about the guy who took down Brock Lesnar and is very obviously earmarked for a likely WrestleMania program with Roman Reigns, of all people.

It can work storyline-wise. Breakker catches Femi lacking for just a moment and capitalizes to steal a win. Remember those early UFC-like fights where Goldberg stunned Lesnar? Do something similar and set up a rematch that Femi wins. Two in a row to break the tie, even.

This would remind everyone that Breakker is on Femi's level. It's using one guy's big momentum to bring along another guy for the long haul. And it would be fun and give them both something to do during a normally quiet part of the year.

This new era of the Bloodline is refreshingly fun as those involved start to take newer roles than in the past. It's a fun dynamic, and the slow ascent of Solo Sikoa is amazing.

One way to keep things fresh even for those fans who don't want to watch more of the Bloodline? Have them get stomped out. How to make sure a new faction looks strong for a long time? Stomp out the Bloodline.

WWE's already on this path. Royce Keyes and OTM brutalized the Bloodline in the parking area on a recent episode of Raw. It's something that should continue, if not bleed into actual matches between the factions.

Part of what made The Shield so dominant all those years ago was the sudden violent arrival that just wouldn't cease. It felt almost unscripted in a meta sort of way and was certainly unpredictable.

This isn't suggesting OTM is on the way to turning out like that . But the feeling of unpredictability and sheer threat level feels similar. And frankly, it would be fun to see the Bloodline off-balance a bit, if not even forced into an underdog sort of role.

Is it time? It's starting to feel that way.

Everyone can probably agree that Reigns should have the top belt going into next year's 'Mania, especially if the plan is to lose it to Femi, really passing the torch to the new era.

But that doesn't mean Reigns can't lose it for a bit right now.

A recent episode of Raw stressed this well enough. LA Knight interrupted Reigns and the place erupted . It's a little shocking that, all these years later, he's still getting those types of reactions. If they can reward Jey Uso for that sort of thing, Knight should get the nod at some point too.

No better time than now, really. It's the offseason sort of time on the WWE calendar. Bake it into the story, with Knight taking advantage of a distraction from OTM or something. Reigns, to his credit, hasn't really had major interference define this title run. How poetic would it be if the first major instance costs him a title?

Cody Rhodes has done this for guys like Drew McIntyre and Cody Rhodes lately. Reigns doing it for someone like Knight, while also putting over multiple other people during a bit of faction wars, would make some sense.

Make no mistake, Reigns shouldn't drop a title for long. But a little blip on the radar that advances everything around him in the company? That's just, as some might say, best for business.
