The 10th Scottish Premiership gameweek of the season is in the books, so let's take a look at all the action across the top flight as Rangers and Celtic both picked up crucial points in their ongoing battle for top spot.

Rangers ran riot at Ibrox on Saturday afternoon, putting four past a St. Johnstone team who proved little threat to Derek McInnes' side.

Kevin Kelsy opened the scoring on the half-hour mark when he rounded off a fast 'Gers break by poking the ball home from close range. Ryan Don Naderi doubled his side's lead in the 61st minute, before Kelsy netted again just five minutes later to put Rangers comfortably ahead.

Things went from bad to worse for the Saints when Kai Fotheringham was shown a straight red card for a foul on Nico Raskin inside Rangers' half. The fourth goal came from Tochi Chukuani in the final moments of the match; the Danish midfielder found the bottom corner from inside the area.

A five-goal thriller took place at Tannadice, with the Tangerines ultimately coming out on top in a topsy-turvy affair with Aberdeen.

Zidane Iqbal gave United an early lead with a stunning strike, but they were quickly pegged back by Nesta Guiness-Walker, who fired into the side netting from 10 yards. However, the hosts regained their lead almost immediately through Dylan Tait, who ran the match, to be honest, when he found the net from a corner.

Aberdeen came out firing in the second half and got themselves level again early on, this time thanks to Connor Ronan, who picked out the bottom corner from distance with a lovely finish. However, the eventual winner did go the way of Jim Goodwin's side, when Zachary Sapsford headed home Tait's cross to secure all three points.

It was an incredibly one-sided match at The Falkirk Stadium, which saw the hosts claim a convincing 3-0 win over Kilmarnock.

Killie goalkeeper Calum Ferrie stopped it from being more, making a whopping seven saves despite the best efforts of the defenders in front of him, who netted two own goals between them, those being Cathal McCarthy and George Stranger.

Jacob Murrell was the Falkirk man on the scoresheet, having headed into the roof of the net partway through the first half.

It's somewhat rare to see a "smash and grab" home performance, but that is exactly what St. Mirren did this weekend as they picked up a 2-1 win over Dundee despite being under fire for large parts of the game.

Wing-back Calvin Ramsay gave the Paisley side an early lead when he tucked the ball home after 20 minutes, before Eseosa Sule doubled his side's advantage shortly after half-time.

Bradley Fink provided Dundee with a lifeline in the 74th minute, but it was too little, too late for Steven Pressley's side, who passed up too many chances at The Marbill Coaches Stadium.

Sunday's action kicked off in the capital, where Celtic continued their strong start to the season with a comfortable win over Hibernian at Easter Road.

Hibs opened the scoring in the first few minutes of the match, when a quick free-kick found Owen Elding, who made no mistake with the finish. Their lead didn't last long though, with Jason Kerr heading into his own net just two minutes later, bringing Celtic back level.

Camilo Durán netted the winner for Martin O'Neill's side when he cut inside from the right wing before picking out the far corner with a curling strike.

The final game of the weekend saw Hearts pick up a 2-0 win at Fir Park.

The first goal came through Cláudio Braga on the half-hour mark, when the Portuguese forward headed home from close range.

Motherwell registered 11 shots in the second half, but couldn't make them count and were finished off by a wonderful finish from Calvin Millar late in the day, who picked out the bottom corner from 25 yards.
