The Army Black Knights open the 2026 campaign at home on Saturday when they host the FCS Bryant Bulldogs (1-0) at Michie Stadium in West Point, New York.

Army finished 7-6 a season ago, going 4-4 in the American and beating UConn in the Fenway Bowl to end the campaign. Quarterback Cale Hellums returns after running for 1,223 yards and 18 touchdowns while passing for 694 more to go with four scores. Sophomore running back Godspower Nwawuihe, the offensive MVP of the bowl win with 171 yards and two touchdowns, will be counted on to help in the run game as well. Defense is where the question marks are for the Black Knights after eight starters departed, and they were picked to finish seventh in the American in the preseason media poll.

Bryant pulled away in the fourth quarter last Saturday for a 24-6 victory at Stonehill after leading 7-3 entering the final 15 minutes. OJ Ross, Jordan Bennett and Brennan Myer scored on short touchdown runs for the Bulldogs, with Ross finishing with 102 yards on 18 carries. Myer went 10-for-20 through the air for 108 yards. Bryant comes off a 3-9 season that included a 1-7 mark in the Coastal Athletic Association.

Saturday's matchup marks the first-ever meeting between the programs.
