WWE officially announces Crown Jewel 2026 title matches amid tense situation in Riyadh

WWE delivered a highly successful Premium Live Event with Money in the Bank 2026 that altered the landscape of the TKO-led company. The company's next PLE will be WWE Crown Jewel 2026, set for November 7 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. However, WWE’s plans for the event had been uncertain, especially given the ongoing war situation in Riyadh. But it seems WWE is moving forward with the event, potentially taking all safety measures, after the major announcements made on tonight’s episode of RAW.WWE officially announces Crown Jewel 2026 Championship matchesOn the October 12 episode of Monday Night RAW, WWE officially announced the two title matches for the Men’s and Women’s Crown Jewel Championships at the namesake Premium Live Event. On the men’s side, World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns will battle Undisputed WWE Champion Sami Zayn. The match was made official after Reigns successfully retained his title against LA Knight in the opening match of the 2026 Money in the Bank Premium Live Event. Moreover, it will see Saudi favorite Sami Zayn walk into the event as the top champion, and in the same city he won his first-ever WWE World title back at the WWE Night of Champions 2026.On the women’s side, the reigning WWE Women’s Champion Chelsea Green will square off against the new WWE Women’s World Champion Liv Morgan. The Miracle Kid competed in a triple-threat match against Becky Lynch and then-champion Stephanie Vaquer. She fought a huge battle, found a major opening in the final moments, and hit an Oblivion on Vaquer to win back the title she lost to Vaquer a few weeks ago.On the October 12 episode of RAW, both champions got into a confrontation after Green came out to interrupt Morgan’s title celebration. This led to an impromptu non-title match between Green and Morgan’s Judgment Day ally, Roxanne Perez. Morgan and the rest of the Judgment Day ran interference and allowed Perez to capitalize, as she delivered a Pop Rox to pin the WWE Women’s Champion. This comes as a major disadvantage for Green heading into an historic match at WWE Crown Jewel. With the stage set for these two blockbuster matches, it will be interesting to see who will leave as the WWE Crown Jewel Champions in Riyadh. Also read: Penta's net worth in 2026: WWE career earnings, salary, MITB win, major matches and moreStay updated with the latest Asian Games 2026 news, check the Asian Games medal tally and complete Asian Games schedule.Get the latest Sports News and Live updates.
