Paul Osaruyi to visit Kentucky Basketball this week

We're inching closer toward the start of the 2026-27 high school and college basketball seasons, which means recruiting visits will start heating up. Kentucky Basketball will host one of its top class of 2027 targets this weekend, as top-25 recruit Paul Osaruyi is set to officially visit UK's campus, according to Sam Kayser.

This will be Osaruyi's first official visit, so it's a huge opportunity for Mark Pope and his staff to make a big impression on the talented center.

A 6-foot-10, 225-pound product of Bella Vista Prep in Phoenix, Arizona, Osaruyi holds scholarship offers from Kentucky, Arizona, Arkansas, Kansas, North Carolina, Illinois, BYU, UCLA, Texas, and Houston, among others. He's currently a 4-star recruit at On3 (22nd overall), ESPN (25th), and 247 Sports (18th).

Back in August, Jamie Shaw of On3 reported that Kentucky had become a program to watch in Osaruyi's recruitment.

"Kentucky is the other school that I have heard recently with the big man. They are a 'newer' program in the mix, but seem to have made a relatively quick connection."

Getting the first official visit would also indicate that Kentucky has become a major player in this recruitment, so this upcoming visit will tell us a lot about where the Wildcats currently stand.
