Warriors news: 'All the options' are on the table for Stephen Curry extension

There may be a lot of uncertainties in the world, but one thing is extremely clear for the Golden State Warriors : They want Stephen Curry .

The Warriors are bullish on signing Curry to a contract extension, but the two-time MVP does not want it to be a distraction in the upcoming season. He wants to focus on regaining his form and conditioning after getting derailed by multiple injuries last season.

According to ESPN's Shams Charania, Golden State has already presented multiple offers to 38-year-old Curry.

"The ball, according to one Warriors source to me this week, is totally in Stephen Curry 's court. They've given him a slew of options to take. He's got one-year deals, two-year deals, max deals. He's got slightly under the max, where he would be giving the team a discount, some more flexibility. He's got player-option deals as well. So he's got all the options," said Charania.

"But another option that Steph Curry has, not contractually right now, is potentially waiting into the season or waiting until next offseason when the Warriors, if Steph Curry waits, would have about $100 million in cap space."

According to ESPN's Anthony Slater, Curry said he wants "no drama" regarding his contract extension. He stressed that his decision will come at the "right time," noting that helping the Warriors remain competitive is his priority.

The four-time champion, who is entering his 18th season, is eligible for a contract extension of up to two years worth $136.7 million.

Last season, he averaged 26.6 points, 3.6 rebounds, 4.7 assists, and 1.1 steals in 43 games.

"Stephen Curry will be finishing his career in a Golden State uniform," added Charania.
