Top-30 overall recruit Ahmed Nur commits to Ole Miss

Four-star power forward Ahmed Nur has committed to Ole Miss , he told Rivals.

The 6-foot-8 senior out of Bella Vista Prep (AZ) chose the Rebels over Florida State, Syracuse, and SMU.

Nur, a native of Hopkins, Minnesota, is ranked as the No. 28 overall recruit in the 2027 class and the No. 4 ranked power forward, according to the Rivals Industry Rankings , an average of all three major recruiting media companies (Rivals, ESPN, 247Sports).

Ahmed Nur discussed his decision to play for Chris Beard and Ole Miss with Rivals.

"I believe I can come in right away and impact winning as a freshman, with a coaching staff that believes I can is very special.

"My relationship was close with coach Beard and we got to know each other well over the visit and stayed connected."

"I would say I am a versatile wing. I can do multiple things on the court that impacts winning at a high level."

Rivals National Recruiting Analyst Jamie Shaw found Nur to be one of the top performers at the Overtime Elite Pro Day a couple weeks ago, writing this about him:

Ahmed Nur is an intriguing prospect. He stands out immediately with legit size with athletic fluidity and a smooth shooting stroke when given time. His flashes are very intriguing. He was able to get on the rim a couple times in the small-sided games and he knocked down a few pull-up jump shots. Finding consistency in performance will be next with him, getting stronger and playing off a steady base. There is an intriguing long-term possibility here.
